School-Age Safe Environments Lesson 2 Apply

Sample Indoor Checklist

Identify safety hazards in your classroom. Important: View and move about your room. Kneel and look at the environment through the eyes of a child. Remember they look under, over, and alongside. Think about their developmental stage as you examine potential hazards. Place a checkmark if a hazard does not exist. Flag if one exists. Correct the hazard, then document the date when corrected.
